An eclectic background produces many styles
Having grown up in the Devon and Cornwall, my entire life has been spent by the sea and in a beautiful part of the UK. I have created art for as long as I can remember and have always kept a sense of variety to my work rather than specialising in one style as most artists do. I used to think this was a hinderance to my success and personal achievements, but I thoroughly believe that variety is the spice of life and I love to be able to change my style depending on my client’s requirements or to what style I am in love with at any given point.
During 2020, as with many people, my life changed. My marriage broke down, I lost my self employment (I was a professional face and body painter), I ended up not being able to walk for weeks and had to undergo spinal neurosurgery, losing a third of my employed work and of course living through Covid and lockdown – twice over. Through all this, I was still a dedicated mum of three and carer for my elderly, disabled mother. It was through this hard time of my life that I really wanted to focus on my artwork and I started creating again. My charcoal work in particular got me through some very difficult times and I believe you can see the pain and urgency coming through. I am very proud of this series and they will always be close to my heart.
Once the pandemic has eased, I have plans to create a body painting series that will be professionally photographed and sold as limited edition, fine art prints as well as combined into a calendar that will be available to purchase.
Due to my very eclectic styles, I am able to produce artwork that fits perfectly with interior design, personalities or preferences and I love working with clients for their homes, hotels or businesses.
Please do have a look through my online gallery at the pieces that are currently available, or if you would like a piece (or series) that is bespoke to your requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
